...Thoughts & Pictures... Just a girl/twin/24yr old/college student who traveled the world a bit, has been home for some time now, is growing up, and living life.

I couldn’t resist doing Gilda. I’ve seen so many people make gifs of it, so I decided to do some of the scenes that aren’t commonly captured.

“Although Gilda is eminently conventional in its use of filmic techniques, its vision of femininity and what women “are” is far more interesting than that of The Lady From Shanghai. Gilda is decent, funny, sexy, and gets away with almost everything; and although it is true that she seems about to marry the sullen and brutish Johnny at the end, she at least gets to keep her robust good health, and we are not even made to watch a final clinch.”

Gilda (1946) for whatever reason I’m extremely fascinated by narratives in which two people really hate each other
